Prayer for Uganda
All morning You have been putting Uganda on my mind. Uganda is a country of beautiful people but evil is very present there. With the AIDS epidemic, witch craft, children being enslaved, and extreme proverty-so many needs that only Your power can meet. Lord, here in America our minds can not even grasp what a day in the life of a child would be like in Uganda. As I sit here and look at pictures of children from Uganda, who need sponsors, I ask that you would protect them from war and witch doctors, provide them with food, and the funds to attend school. Most importantly Jesus I ask that your presence would be among them and they would know of your great love for each and everyone of them.

Lord, today my thoughts with Jaboy, a 13 year old boy living in the Philippines. His father died last year and his mother left the family years ago leaving Jaboy alone to take care of his two younger brothers. In a letter he said, "I am stronger for my two younger brothers, I will sacrifice my own strength..."
Thank you for Jaboy's sponsor whose support is giving him the opportunity to go to school, have a daily meal, and most important hear the about the Love of Christ. I pray that you would be real to Jaboy and give him the strength he needs to take care of his brothers and work hard at his studies. I pray Jaboy and his younger brothers would feel your love for them.
Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strenthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
